narcissism

This animation was the first of 6, so it was more of an experiment. I wanted to make the animation fun, fast, and complex something interesting to watch. Pacing and complexity were taken into heavy consideration so that the final logo reveal has a lasting impact.

115 Beats Per Minute

I wanted to tackle the challenge of animating to the very strict tempo of a song. The added element of audio in synch with the animation helps to create an immersive experience for the viewer.

History Lesson

This animation tells the story of our world through it's most important developements in chronological order. From the big bang to World War 2 I show these historical events through visually interesting graphic elements and sequences.

America the beautiful

In a flurry of American stereotypes and imagery I show what I love most about my country, America, as well as the parts of it that I don't agree with. This was designed for an iPad, so I used thelimited compositional space as a tool for transitions between scenes. The elements are especially simple in this animation, but still remain true to what they represent.

progress

This animation represents my admiration for architecture. I show the stages of man made structures being built in a sequence of smallest to largest. I chose a sunset as the background as the composition was vertical and I wanted little to distract from the architecture in the center.

clean & complicated

This is an experiment into what can be accomplished with a single style of animation using repeating patterns. My goal was to create chaos on the screen but keeping elements such as composition, color, and space in mind to keep the animation grounded.
