we're dancin' logo

We're Danin' is a dance studio located in Charlotte, NC that teaches a large variety of dance styles and competes at a national level. They have been in business for over 20 years and recently wanted to start rebranding. The logo was one of the first elements to change, it needed an upgrade but had to still communicate a nurturing, warm and family based atmosphere. The audience was very specific that I hadn't designed for before, being dancers and young people . But I enjoyed the challenge and took aspects of the previous logo and updated it with legible type and a more simplistic layout of the elements. I show other concepts for this logo as well to show the various directions the logo went.
